I read someplace that these songs are leftovers of songs that did nit make it on Sirens; don't know if this is true or not, but if it is, these leftovers are surprisingly good

a good album anyway, highly recommended for people that love 80s metal.

Have always been a great fan of them.
But only lately I came to realize how great this one actually is.
I am not sure if these are really "leftover" songs of Sirens.
I understand that they were meant to become one album but have been divided into two due to vinyl size limitations.
Anyways, IMO the songs on this one are all better than the ones on SIrens -- except for the title track on the latter.
That said, Sirens is also a good album, of course.

Edit:
Everything on here up to, and including Midas knight is killer. Easily among their all-time best material.
City beneath the surface is a nice one, too.
The whip would be the only song that is a bit too generic to fully enjoy from my point of view.
