This album is probably their most underrated. At first i didn't actually like the album, but noticed how prolific each member of the band was with their respective instruments. The cynic would obviously cast this off as a rip-off of slayer/metallica/megadeth etc., but this album deserves to be listened to more than once.

This is such an obnoxious Slayer rip-off. I can't even listen to it anymore it bothers me that much.

Couldn't be less bothered by that (I always hear more Celtic Frost though but that is mainly in the first album though)... Really liked this album when I heard it many years ago and still do.

Beneath The Remains is even more SLayer like as is Arise, so you should steer clear of those then as wel
But glad to finally see someone agree with me on Sepultura being way Slayer-like.

Haven't heard Beneath The Remains, and I have listened to Arise in a while, but I remember the title track being super catchy, and not too Slayer-esque. I'll have to listen to them both.
