my experience with them has been somewhat poisoned, much as I love IE, much as I love Schaffer as a musician. Seems like he might have his conviction thrown out pretty soon, but the damage has already been done.
@Metren: I feel similarly. It's a fantastic composition but the last time I listened to it I started hearing the lyrics in a different way. Now there are some Iced Earth songs that just draw me back to Schaffer's ideology and
Varg is and will forever be a major dingus, but yes, his writings and videos were both hilarious simply for the sake of morbid curiosity if nothing else

I'm about as hip to current trends in pop music and internet culture as your average suburban father of two,* so (That) Poppy, who has two albums and a preestablished YouTube career that I have no intention of researching further, is a complete unknown to me.
Christ, it isn't that bad. I Disagree is kinda dope.
I wish Scary Mask (with The Fever 333) was on here. That song's a banger, and they rocked it on NXT opening the show and as an entrance of Japanese phenom Io Shirai.
This is cool, although I wish it was even more all-over-the-place. The combination of elements is fun, but individually they're pretty sonically vanilla. Needs more Hannah Diamond/Perfume/Lightning Bolt/Gojira mashup! Hopefully for the next album she gets a really silly producer who wants the bubblegum sweeter, the riffs heavier and the noise noisier.
---- I am the Magician and the Exorcist. I am the axle of the wheel, and the cube in the circle. “Come unto me” is a foolish word: for it is I that go.
This is a terrible album, a complete disgrace to the genre that this was ever released and won a Grammy nonetheless. Anyone who supports this crap needs a kick in the ass
This album put a smile on my face, but it loses steam as the songs go by.
It is interesting and cool to listen to this type of music, not afraid to create something different or mix different genres. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
