Wow I just checked a song from this and it's actually some well-written and well-produced Brutal Death Metal.

Wow I just checked a song from this and it's actually some well-written and well-produced Brutal Death Metal.

The production was an immediate standout for me as well. The way the vocals are mixed a bit lower so the depth of the growls sort of "shakes" within the wall of sound from the hefty bass is a nice touch. It also has that old school feel to it. Reminds me of Hour Of Penance at times too, which isn't a bad thing.

It's got some good chunky riffs with trace amounts of melody to keep things interesting, plus their songwriting skill is evident with how each track has its own unique sound. Not the most memorable or mind-blowing stuff, but this is quality death metal on the more brutal end of the spectrum. I'm glad they don't get too caught up with trying to show off their technicality and just focus on crushing your earholes.

This reminds me quite a lot of Immolation actually. It's brutal and technical without being needlessly so. I like it.
