Great as always, it seems Oranssi Pazuzu can do no wrong. I don't know what substances they are smoking, but I hope they won't stop it anytime soon.

You've got a lot of guts. Let's see what they look like.

I'd be willing to bet some routine hits of acid are on the calendar come writing time.

The only negative that I can really think of is that the vocalist at times sounds like he is coughing up a hairball.
Implying you wouldn't be into a cat-fronted metal band.
There's gotta be a cat metal band out there.

The last track was my favourite first pass.
I hadn't checked in with these guys since their first album, maybe the second. Sounds like they've definitely honed their sound.
Seems to be a motif of songs built around bass lines with psychedelic guitar and space rock synth thrown in and they just groove around with that for 7 or 8 minutes, along with those smoked-out croaks that remind me of a mix of Mortuus and Maniac. Nothing wrong with that at all!
Routine hits of acid indeed!
Along with that seemingly Finnish penchant for the bizarre and over-the-top.

Love that last song. Sounds like they settled on a repetitive rhythm and just went full-on psychedelic improvisation. The spacey feel is huge.
Overall, yet another great record.

I went from not liking it to not really my thing to loving it. This is probably one of the most popular metal albums this year and for good reason. It took a few tries but glad I was able to stick to it to the end for an impressive experience. I am now an Oranssi Pazuzu fan. I usually dislike keys/synth in my metal but love the spacey vibes without overextending.
