The second coming of Sorcerer has seen them embrace a cleaner and more melodic epic doom sound, with the band largely renouncing the dark and raw output of their early days. The harsh vocals that are sporadically heard on Lamenting Of The Innocent do not change that fact, and this album is more on the polished and tame side. Read more ›› |

New song: Nice vocal parts, it fits good into muisc, but when it has instrumental part it get boring IMO, seems band wanna create in all casts, Its doom as it is, but I doubt it will be best doom album, like I told good vocal parts

The vocalist's style gives this a bit of a power/doom metal vibe. Pretty enjoyable overall, although not particularly convinced by the harsh vocals

Best songs: Lamenting of the innocence. Stand sout, half ballad. This is good band, complex composition , good lyrics, vocals, seems all knows what to do, how to play that meloedy sounds good and lyric are made perfectly. This is adult band , hard to get unless you're not doomster. Candlemass was easier to get in, not this, but its good band, like manowar sings all men plays on 10. Its here.

After 2 listens... I like it a lot. It doesn't reach the height of the previous album. But still This is some good stuff. The flow of the previous one was slightly better imo and it misses that absolutely brilliant track like Unbearable sorrow on the previous one. Though "The Hammer Of Witches" and "Lamenting Of The Innocent" are really great tracks. This is the kind of doom metal that I can listen to again and again. And I will do that the next couple of weeks. Who knows maybe this one will also grow even more on me like the previous one.
