Symphonic power metal or power rock, or more accurately in the case of Royal Hunt, power whatever with a great symphonic keyboard player. Yes, this is the same band from Denmark who started out in 1989.

High hopes! Still haven't gotten into their third despite many tries, so I hope for a return to form!

The guest and female singers spice this record a bit. DC sounds as good as ever but the music gets too repetitive somehow, especially if you're familiar with their whole discography like myself. I would pick XIII - Devil's Dozen as the worst album and A Life To Die For as their best out of the last 5 albums, since DC came back. I can also add that I prefer X over all the aforementioned 5, with A Life To Die For as a close contender.
