This album possesses everything that I like, melodies, solid production, more melodies and actually yes, an album only with quality riffs. I do not actually care for no vocals or lyrics and innovation is not always what I am searching for. Mid-tempo works this way for my taste. I enjoyed every single moment of it and I consider this is one of my favorite albums for the past years.
I am disappointed to see this is taken like "oh some more slumber/atoma/enshine stuff, nothing special". This is melodeath you NEED to check out especially if you liked the mentioned bands.

Word. This album sounds exactly like what I wanted it to sound, trademark Lindholm top-tier melodies nonstop. Actually the absence of vocals makes it somehow even better because it calls for more guitar work to fill the gaps and Jari delivers just that.
Worth a special mention is The Underpass which is a stunning gem of melodic fireworks. This is what I always wished to hear from Seas of Years but of course it could have never happened there.
My only complaint is 35 mins runtime, I wish it had been no less than 50.

Instrumental melodeath is a rarity, but it's done nicely here. I really like the post-rock vibes of Mare Balticum

Yeah, this is one of the good ones. Tbh I'm not sure I'd even call it melodeath. Not sure what else instead though.

Just coming across this now, not realizing Jari dropped a solo record! I think it's phenomenal and a huge miss by the sites I frequent. Almost no one covered this record and it's a shame.
