Angelic Storm - 03.05.2013 at 05:37
Rating: 10 Quite possibly the greatest metal live album of all time (It's certainly in the top 3, along with "Alive In Athens" by Iced Earth and "Live After Death" by Maiden).

Slayer were always at their best in a live setting, and this album perfectly documents that. They were a truly devastating live act (Which I was fortunate enough to witness in person twice), such a dominating presence, and a visceral live experience.

This is a fine document of arguably the greatest ever live metal band. Wonderful stuff.

I was about to post this exactly.
Imo, it is the greatest live album of all-time and definitely my favorite. The other albums you mention are awesome too, but I always had a preference for "Decade Of Aggression".

Rating: 9 I think a lot of Slayer fans are putting this album on today. Me included.

damn yeah.

through with 4th spin and it feels fucking good. Although, not lucky enough to see them live in 1991 as i was like 2 years old. But damn. "Decade Of Aggression" has always been my one of the best live album i came across.

Indeed, it's definitely one of my top 5 live albums of all time. I feel really lucky to have seen Slayer live with this line-up. Not in 1991 either though :p

EDIT: @BitterCOld, good job with the trade there.

I still own the double cassette tape of "Decade Of Aggression". I wore those tapes out when I first got the album, playing it over and over again. Slayer don't need a "greatest hits" album, as long as you own this album, you have the best of Slayer, and at the very peak of their powers. And the limited edition version also contains blistering versions of "Skeletons Of Society" and one of the candidates for my all time fave Slayer song, "At Dawn They Sleep". I listened to it earlier today, and it's just as vital and urgent now as it was back in 91'.

I like the part where Araya is telling that security guards shouldn't beat up the fans, that kind of shit shouldn't happen .

I'm currently kicking myself for not having this, but then again, I've never been one for live albums. I decided to spin Hell Awaits in memory.

I had it on cassette tape at the time it was released but I played it so often the tapes are long gone. I have it on CD now.
And yes, it is their "Greatest Hits" album. It features their best material.

Rating: 9 This was my first Slayer album.

Still haven't heard it after all this time despite seeing them thrice.

This along with Haunting The Chapel/ Live Undead are still needing to be in my collection and should have been years ago. And I don't think theres any better time to get them in respect than right now.
