Sometimes a change is as good as a break and here Static-X put that adage to the test with Cannibal, creating their 6th full length record in just under 10 years. Featuring an element of experimentation and switching up their approach, the band create an album that tries to give fans something different yet ultimately feels so familiar.

My first Static-X album, and to say its their latest, it isn't too bad an album. The guitar solos are a specific highlight, though there aren't that many of them. The riffs can get a bit boring towards the end, but the band's excessive use of electronic equipment works well. 'Get up and Boogie' speaks for itself really, but I'm not exactly a fan.

Yea this and start a war are pretty good. I can understand the hate on Cult of Static even though I like that one too. But this one is pretty decent and one of their heaviest albums ever.

A Nice Guy
Not a bad album considering it was released right at the tail end of the Nu metal scene, by which stage most bands from the scene had either past their peak or moved on to other things. Clearly this album isn't as impressive as their first three imo, but it's almost equally as good as their last, meaning it's not bad, but again nothing special imo.

There was great rhythm as usual, maybe even a higher tempo, it did seem heavier in sound than their previous albums, and the solo's were much better on this one too. Unfortunately there was nothing that really captures my interest on this one just as on their previous. The riffs again seem repetitive and the songstructures kind of de ja vu. "Team Hate" was the one song that stood out for me.
