A Dark Halo is a band playing the good old style of industrial metal that was so popular in the 90s. In other words, it is two dudes sitting with a bunch of synths, computers, and samplers and recording all of the instruments, presumably in a basement or garage somewhere. Interestingly, bands with such minimalistic lineups have become a rarity these days, even within the realms of industrial metal. Sadly, the music on Catalyst is as outdated as the band's recording habits, since it is rather unimaginative and unadventurous stuff that could have been created by a large number of other bands.
