Burzum is a well known one-man band that is appreciated by metalheads worldwide mainly because of his black metal albums. However, that doesn't mean that he can compose only black metal and nothing else. On "Filosofem" Varg has proved that he is able to create an outstanding ambient music with the keyboard. He continued to make the great music on this later works.

The atmosphere this album create is great, especially the tracks 5~8, that brings me many feelings.
And varg is a genious, even without instruments

Something about this album just clicks. I know it's corny and is pretty much just a creative outlet with the tools given at the time, but some of the leads are so catchy, I find myself humming them all day.
