Being a fan of Tiamat's later works and 'Sumerian Cry' being the only album I hadn't heard before it was actually a big effort to listen to it. No, it isn't a bad record. But if you know their later albums in their melodically splendour it's quite hard to listen to evil and dark death metal.

100% agreed.
And the first full length to be recorded in the infamous SUnlight studios.

Another classic , DM was like cult back in those days, another band what decide go away from it later and did not lost anything actually , its a bit like Lake of Tears, every album are diferent, but in lake of tears case they have better lyrics, seems its difference if you're from Falun where are nature, or you're big city freak from capital city. Musucaly its death metal, bad master and mixing, old school sound as music was back in those days and what I like in in. Great peace , an symbolic title for album if we know what name means.... seems Johan Edlund isn't sor etardet as many ppl specially in USA told about mussicans, even he wrote weird lyrics , Daniel Brennare from Lake of tears did it better !!!!!
