If you like Darkthrone and still believe that the band plays a kind of true Black Metal I'm sorry to say that to you that but you will probably be disappointed by their upcoming album. I have in my hand the mini CD "NWOBHM" which will be released a month before the release date of the new album "FOAD" and I can tell you that Darkthrone follows the way of their last effort "The Cult Is Alive". If you cannot stand Punk, then just go away?

Nordic Wave of Black Heavy Metal*

"Nordic" should prefix all genres.

If there's one place where we can make that a thing, it's Metal Storm.

I've always wondered who the bald guy on the cover is.

Good point now you mention it though I'm pretty sure the other person is a woman and not Fenriz. Far too skinny, tall and feminine.

Bald guy is most probably Mats E. Tannaneset, he does some backing vocals on a few DT songs and appears on a few picts of the album booklets.

And this cover just seems one of those random pictures the band takes when walking around the norwegian nature (again, the booklets are filled with these).
