To truly understand the rating I give to this album you must listen to the music; but don't listen to see if the vocals are good, or the drums, guitar or keyboard. Ok, you may say that this is a Viking metal album and metal is about... NO. This is a very atmospheric album, more than metal, and that is what it counts here. This album makes you travel through space and time to where Vikings live in wartime. And you are there. This is my feeling when listening to this. And you know what? I love Vikings!

"The Quaker"
It's clearly a great record, but I don't think it's THAT great. I had a hard time getting used to the sound of the vocals. The songs get repetitive sometimes. "Kylän Päässä" and the closer "Sankaritarina" are absolute favourites, and "Hiidenpelto" from its middle to the ending.

nonZero

Slightly more consistent in quality than Kivenkantaja and their best album IMO.

9.5/10 leaning slightly towards a 9 for me - 'Sankarihauta' is the best song and 'Sankaritarina' isn't quite as strong as the others.

Metal Rasputin

All killer, no filler. I remembered this album was good, but only later when I got it myself and gave it few spins I found out how incredible it really is. It's not just a great viking metal album, but one of the best Finnish albums and metal albums ever made. This stuff is even better if you can actually understand the epic lyrics, I think they even make references to some classic Finnish poetic works here and there.

A Nice Guy
Still my favourite Moonsorrow album, it's amazing, and every song is good, but "Sankaritarina" is just sheer epic brilliance!

Edit: I honestly can't find fault whatsoever with this album, it's absolutely flawless
