This is the album where I think they truly found their sound. The other three releases before this one, I was not impressed at all. Very powerful old school release. Some may say "Fast As A Shark" was the first sort of Speed Metal song. For the longest time I was saying Judas Priest's "Freewheel Burning" was the first one (especially cuz of the twin guitar techniques in the solos).....

Fast As A Shark outdates Freewheel Burning by almost two years. And as for the twin guitars, speed/thrash metal can easily be played with one guitar plus Accept also have the twin guitar attack/

Not that I can do it, but a speed/thrash band doesn't have to have two guitarists, there are bands that consist of just one. Hell, even Metallica started out as a one guitar band

I'm aware that most thrash bands have one guitarist, I was just poking fun.

Motorhead and Venom are not and were never thrash, no matter what the kiddies proclaim nowadays. Metallica only performed as such once or twice all their recordings have two guitar parts.
The reason I originally said that about the two guitarists in Freewheel Burning is because dual guitars are not a defining trait for speed/thrash.

I don't want to get into an arguement with you, but when did I say Venom Or Motorhead were Thrash?
And, again, I was just poking fun.

You said "a lot of OLDER thrash bands do." so I assumed you meant Motorhead and Venom. Because please try and name at least five OLDER speed/thrash bands with one guitarist. I bet that with a lot of luck you will manage one.
That is: NOT ALLOWED TO USE ANY INTERNET. So, straight from the top of your head.

Well, it's not like it's a genre that I listen to often, so it would be even harder for me
anyway, back to Sludge land
