My GF and I signed up for a veggie CSA from a local farm. Just got out first batch of veg. SOOOO good. I don't think I can go back to supermarket produce after this.
@capslock guy, you're not a criminal, you were banned for posting mysoginy. If you think that is something you should celebrate, I feel like we might end up in the same situation, just permanent.
@Liafev don't see the problem in that. You either take a laugh or "follow" a idiot, really. Not like narcissitic assholes like him don't deserve the bad they go after.
Guys, the song Low Man's Lyrics is so beautiful. Not greatest song but very great song both lyrics n music. I nearly cry when I listened to it n repeated. So beautiful song made by Metallica.

Additional info Supposedly limited to 777 hand-numbered copies on Southern Lord though there are actually more than this. Numerous copies numbered '777/777' have appeared on eBay.
2xLP version with exclusive bonus track called "Wail" released by Southern Lord. Numerous different colored presses exist.
Lurker Of Chalice, a name that should ring a bell for the Black metallers out there. Two completely unavailable demos, one hard-to-get full-length. A full-length that cost many Black metaller a dear buck until it was finally re-released by Southern Lord. In my opinion, Lurker Of Chalice's self-titled, début and at the same time also final album was one of the few albums on e-bay that actually deserved to be sold for more than thirty quid/bucks???. Why? Let me tell you why.
Once in the bluest of blue moons, an album comes along that not only reminds one of the reasons why they love music, but gives reasons never before imagined. Rarely - if ever before - have inspiration and craftsmanship, atmosphere and songwriting combined as well as they do on Lurker Of Chalice.
Too much of a fanboy? Probably...
Yet I still feel the obligation to remind our users that one of the modern classics of black metal has just turned a decade old.
It remains as unique and soul-draining as the very day it was released.
No happiness, no sadness, no fear, no hope... Pure emptiness.
Might still get to that point; I never rate anything a 10 unless I've heard it a million times and have finalized my decision. This is probably one of those albums where I'm going to do that.
Something about this record still doesn't click. I know it's good and I enjoy listening to it, but I find some tracks drag a little and the atmosphere feels a little limited, like it doesn't full envelope me. I wish there was more of the depressing howling background versus the almost cheesy synth that seems to always take the forefront.
NWN! is honored to present this new edition of "Lurker of Chalice," which will include the bonus track featured on previous vinyl editions of the album. Additionally, NWN! will be working with Wrest to unearth and remaster some previously unreleased Lurker of Chalice material for future releases.
I really don't think new LOC material would sit well with me, truly think about it. As others have noted, it'd probably ruin the magic surrounding this release a little and the sort of "one off treasure" status that it's amassed over time. I highly respect Wrest for keeping what other stuff has been recorded under wraps for so long too. He's clearly an artist who understands when to not beat something to death and when to respect the legacy surrounding a piece of work instead of continuously milking it for fans and cash.
---- I am the Magician and the Exorcist. I am the axle of the wheel, and the cube in the circle. “Come unto me” is a foolish word: for it is I that go.

Eh, like Rod said any new material wouldn't diminish the status of this for me. I love this release because it's an hour of perfect music, not because it's the only album under that name.
I don't listen to albums and think "Wrehhh, I can't enjoy this now. Goddamn that less than brilliant other record they released!"
If that's you then maybe you're into the mystique of something, rather than the art itself.

From the artists side, what would really be wrong about pursuing that if you are aware of its niche reception? Many of the recent reissues from NWN went to zero as fast as a Mayflies lifespan.

I may not have the largest collection but I certainly have the absolute best
A tough one to call between an 8 or a 9. I would give it 8.5 overall, but with a very slight leaning towards an 8.
The atmosphere is amazing, but the only negative for me is that it can become a little bit monotonous in places with a little bit too much repetition. Overall, I am impressed though.
I've listened to this album probably a dozen times to have it hopefully "click" with one of the listens... Still has yet to happen. I still just find this too loose, meandering, and almost empty to me. The lead solos and melody from the synth is distracting from the rumbling, almost spinning feeling bass and guitar.
I've listened with good headphones, and through good speakers, at night and in the middle of the day, when I'm tired, when I'm sad, when I'm happy... still not holy to me
I'm halfway through listening again and for sure there are a ton of good moments and songs (The Blood Falls... is spectacular), but it doesn't reach that god tier like it does for so many others. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"Sometimes I feel like I'm not solid. I'm hollow. There's nothing behind my eyes. I'm a negative of a person. All I want is blackness, blackness and silence."
Musically this album and its atmosphere are incredible and 10/10 but it's way too depressing at times. It's like gazing into the abyss of despair. Still one one of my favourite album, but not recommended for people who have a depressive personality, this will crush you. Some people also like to seek this feeling of despair and doom. Why I don't understand, listen to something like Lykathea Aflamed instead, or Deafheaven, it will give you hope and optimism like a warm summer glow

I am depressive, bordering on clinical depression most of the time. I love this album and the feeling of gazing into the abyss, because it makes me feel like I am not the only one who struggles with existential dread and nihilism. I get this music, because it gets me. That's pretentious AF, but it's trueeeee.

I can understand that, I find humans experience a spectrum of emotions in their life, sadness, nostalgia, longing, hope, despair and of course depression etc. Music as an art form is great at expressing and evoking one or more of such emotion. But if one exclusively seeks a certain type of emotion in their music it may alter your mind, your feeling and ultimately your outlook on life, you may become addicted to say the emotion of sadness and even find solace and contentment in it. If you like music I think it's good to diversify and listen to all kinds, to experience the full range that the human experience can offer and not just corner or trap yourself in small room. Only then can one achieve serenity
