The one thing Absu seem to excel at is epic atmosphere, and the band certainly don't lack that on this album. It's obviously more ambitious than their debut album, what with longer songs, additional vocals and instruments, and you can also notice the progression the band were making into later albums such as 'Tara' and their self-titled. My only quip is with the vocals which to me seem a bit one-dimensional, but they generally fit the music well.

Why did it take me so long to kickstart my love for Absu?
I mean, I remember I listened to their last album quite a bit but never dived into their discography. This is savage but so meticulous in its delivery. Just excellent performance on all fronts. The vocals might be a tad one-dimensional but they work with the general vibe of the album. The drums might be the best thing about this album, keeping me on edge.
