I love this record. It's so raw, chaotic and old school. I didn't care for the previous two ND albums, but this one is nice. It's a classic

I personally don't find it that great. It's good an all but definitely not a classic if you look at the hsitory of death metal objectively since Napalm Death were never really interesting in that scene. Regardless if you like their first two albums or not, those are indeed classics in the genre because of their importance.

But that's just formal bullshit, this album has indeed some cool tunes... That' what's important!

There are certainly some great songs on this album, although as a whole, it's not quite a classic. "Vision Conquest" has to be one of Napalm's most underrated and overlooked songs, an awesome opener for sure!

It's always bewildered me though, why people overlook the very obvious grind elements on this album. It is not a pure death metal album by any means...

Barneys vocals are so much better on this album than nowdays.

Love this record. Solid musicianship mixed in with their tradtional misanthropic mindset. An absolute chaotic delight.

Absolutely an under rated classic for the genre- not sure what all the nonsense is about it not being a classic- this is by far their most death metal album, and that's not a bad thing. The Florida sound is all over this album...I like this far better than most of the over rated stuff that was coming out of Sweden at the time as well.. Barney's best performance is here, and the production is bass heavy and very original, giving it an even more old school feel. Barney himself has stated he hates the production, but I actually thinks it adds to the feel of the album. Vision Conquest, Unfit Earth, Suffer the Children, Mind Snare...great stuff.

So many years I thought barney did the vocals of harmony corruption, but when I learnt Lee Dorrian (now in Cathedral) did the amazing 'roaring' vocals I really got surprised...

Too bad they didn't stick with this style; this is Florida death metal done better than any actual Florida death metal band.

A Nice Guy
I always thought of Napalm Death as a bit of a joke in all honesty, when it came to Grindcore, that was until I heard this album by them, it's still the only one I've listened to completely, and so far it has been the only album I can really tolerate by the band.

It's a good solid Grindcore album overall, with some good songs on it, but it also has alot of average songs.
