The story about Mob Rules is a quite funny one, with this new release, "Among the Gods", they now have released four albums, 4 killers, 4 albums that breaks the most in the genre, and still, they aren't more well known than they are today, how is that possible?
That's a question I'm asking myself after listen to their new album the first time, and still asking me now, after the fifth spin.

Clearly a weaker album than the three first ones. This one feels very Vanden Plas at times, especially the guitars. The first five tracks and the finishing Arabia are all decent stuff, nothing wrong with those. It's the songs there in the middle that feels like fillers. New World Symphony is a reworked version of Rain Song from their debut (in the same vein as Gamma Ray reworked Man on a Mission into Miracle), but it doesn't work on any plane, it falls flat right at the start.
