China was a neat
The coolest band ever. Listening to American Life on loop now. Such an amazeballs track.

EDIT: Er. Nothing cool about it. They are as weird as Joe's descriptions for his 2016 list.

I can't think of anything more early 90's than Primus, back then 80's popular culture burned to the ground and all kinds of creative, weird and edgy stuff emerged from the ashes. The music video of Tommy the Cat even has direct references to the animation craze of the time, I love it.
