This might be thrash album of the year for me. Killer breakneck riffs, darker groovy riffs, and the evil anti-christian lyrics...oh yes, the solos aren't bad either. Another solid addition the the thrash revival.

I didn't like this album at all, the musicianship is just ok, some nice guitar riffs, a barely audible bass, average drumming, and what I disliked the most are the vocals, where is the THRASH in that guy, he is just whispering at the micro or what? His singing is quite monotonous and... "unthrasher". I felt I've listened to the same song again and again. On the other hand, the solos aren't bad at all.

Sorry, this album is just not meant for me.

I completely agree, particularly about the vocals... but if you don't like it at all, why does it get 6/10?

I really don't see why this band gets the praise it seems to - only about 20% of what I've heard would I actually call good

i just came in here to write the same exactly thing. i have not completed the listening of this album yet but the way this guy is singing is awfull in my ears. probably he does it thinking itwould sound better but it makes the music far less aggressive.

I gave it a 6 not only because of the vocals, the music and lyrics are so so. For me is just another average album, so I gave it a 6 according to the MS rating system.

EDIT: But maybe, it deserves less than that.

I don't know, the whispered vocals make it seem a little darker or more evil. Works for me. *shrugs*

I basically agree with what Daggon said earlier. I just don't have a problems with the vocalist. Overall: average. But what I hate the most is the boring drumming.

I think I felt its aggressive side, a special sound similiar to this of rotting christ and other greek bands(although they are from a different genre)... Some good riffs, drumming indeed is stereotypical but not that bad. Saw them live playing most of this album and i enjoyed it very much, so i dare to rate it an 8!

My favorite thrash metal album of all time! (Yes I like it more than Reign in Blood, Master of Puppets, Rust in Piece etc.)

To each their own.

I found Sanctify to be good album. Nothing groundbreaking here except killer riffs. Then again, riffs doesn't save the medicority of any album.

Their forte was never riffs. "Eternal Domination" throws out 80's thrash, "Dead Again" took a shape of crusty punk influence with sharp edges of riffs from debut and Sanctify, "Bloodbath" again mixes potent of all records they released earlier while "Divide and Conquer" landed on big smelly turd.

So, didn't see any album particularly relying on riffs. Probabaly, prime reason I hate Suicidal Angels 'cause they never incorporated anything on their own. Use a jar, mixes elements of other albums and out a new Suicidal Angel album.

Meh, never worked with me.

I think a couple of these tracks work for headbanging, the riffs are definitely great, but the majority of the album seems to be just average.
