Nice to see that this criminally underlooked album is not underrated on MS. Just five votes, but all of them 8-10 leading to a well deserved 9.2. That pretty much covers my personal rating.
I have to admit I more or less ignored this record in 2004. Led by strong recommendations, I did purchase it, but I couldn't really get into it on first attempt.
Now and 14 years later, I think it's one of the finest releases of that year and genre, no matter if you call it blackened Death Metal or Melodeath or just plain Death Metal. Highly recommended if generic Death Metal and watered down Melodeath usually bore the pants off you, because this near perfect mix of both worlds (with some BM and 90's thrash influences) is a fast grower and never getting boring.
