Kepper of the 7 keys?! bah! power metal was perfected in 1984!

One of the best power metal albums ever, hands down. No filler tracks here.

This record is at times smashing but also holds some average tracks. I had this one at a 7 before but songs like Battle Cry, Dragon's Breath and Death Rider pushes it up to a 8.

The carnage races on well into the night, as the sun creeps up we see the morning light
On the battlefield the tragedy of dawn, through the crimson tide we still carry on

Good album but not really great, the 2 following albums are better in my opinion.

Extremely raw and extremely intense, zero wankery and zero flowers. This is pretty much what power metal should sound like.

8.5/10 leaning towards a 9
