Lol I do!

But it's the cover of the new album on my chest, not a fat guy with a small penis. Pics somewhere on this site

To really appreciate this specific version of this album, you gotta blast it loud using a good system. There's some sweet bass drops that you can't hear using crappy speakers due to the quiet sound production.

The raw brutality and energy of this album make it a great death album. Not to mention the snare/"trash can" drums actually sound good here. Probably because they're not as vehemently amplified.

I never knew "brutal as fuck" equaled good. Oh right, I forgot.

Yeah, it is quite a brutal and great album, very well executed in this case.

As a brutal death metal /slam band .. the more brutal they are, the better they are..
just as the more melodic a melodic death metal band is the better.

its not that difficult really to comprehend.

That's the most ridiculous analogy I've ever heard. You're basing your entire taste and perceptions of quality around pre-defined restrictions and constraints. What about all the amazing bands of the brutal death genre that employ melody effectively, or the aggressive, heavy fringe melodeath bands that break off from the norm? You've consigned all the middle ground bands to oblivion just because they don't fit with your draconian notions.

The only thing difficult to comprehend is how you came to this weird mindset. I don't mean that sarcastically either. I think you've created an odd, idealised idea of what's "metal" and what's not.

It's not as though metal is on a plate right in front of you everywhere you go, bar perhaps a few Scandinavian countries. Finding it and understanding it often require some amount of research. Unless there's some bad influence going on here I'm not aware of.

Bad influence? That may appeal to his love of conspiracies (that he digests without doing his own research).

Although really, what bad influence could there be? Unless MS somehow inflates your ego?

Well I meant in real life. Many people get into metal through a friend of something. He could have picked up some weird habits that way. The internet can generally be quite poor at shaping people and their way of thinking. The way people endlessly bitch about what's good, what's bad, what makes you a "nigel hipster" and shit like that. It could be a mini power trip to some. It's all speculation though.

?

I honestly dont understand what is weird about what i said ... if someone's into "brutal death metal' then he/she surely loves 'brutality' and the more brutl the band is the better it is to him/her .. same with melodic death metal or thrash or whatever, the more the band is 'capturing the genre's essence' the better the band is ...

so, wht i said was basic logic, and i didnt mean it in a plain generalization sense, for example: a 'general' metal listener who's into thrash for say, might like a brutal death metal band that employs melodies .. or thrashy chugging riffs .. while another 'general' metal listener who into black metal, might like a brutal death metal band that features frequent screams the way he likes.

BUT.. a die-hard brutal death metal fan would surely like bands that are true to the genre's elements, and the more 'brutal' the band is, the better they are for that kind of listener. imagine if you're a black metal fan for example and then there's a bm band that encorporates alot of death grunts in its vocals or maybe 2-minute long fast guitar solos in it, nd you hear everybody praising that band for being 'innovative' while you (as a true BM fan) you're not very fond of death grunts or fast solos, if you would u'd listen to death metal or thrash rather than BM... so, i think what i said isn't very weird... maybe u misinterpreted what i say, or assumed a plain generalization that i didnt mean.

cheers

EDIT: btw, thanks for the 'personality analysis' .. i'd gladly see any of you guys in your office as soon as you get your psychiatry degree.

Perhaps so, but I personally don't enjoy bands more just because they fit overused genre tags like in this case "brutal death metal" and "melodic death metal" as if they're some kind of musical law which states that they must sound like their descriptors imply. I think it's better to try and take them out of their contexts and enjoy them as they are.

And to be honest the doom metal argument is still fresh in my mind.

And as I said it was speculation because I don't understand your way of thinking. Not a judgement on you personally.

The thing about capturing a genre's essence is that a lot of the time it's real easy to get around it. Grindcore? Just strum a few downtuned chords or edit it afterwards on Audacity or something. Death metal isn't necessarily harder, you just may need to utilize some other techniques (pull-offs, hammer-ons, vibrato) or just strum more chords and variate a bit more.

And I really don't know how there are people who don't get bored of the same old generic essence after a while.

Also, doom metal argument was lulz.

I just found that out firsthand. I've had this album for a long time, but couldn't really get into it because the vocals drown everything else out on my speakers. But I listened to this album yesterday on a better system and it sounds really fucking cool. Now I see why this is considered by so many as the landmark brutal death metal album.

This album is in my opinion, the begining and the end of Slam death metal.

For me (and maybe for the rest of humanity), just a little part of all the music in the world is good music, and i'm not talking just about metal music. Every genre has its legendary artists/albums/songs. For me, there're not good bands, bad bands, very good bands, excellent bands, mediocre bands.... Just excellence and crap. If one album is not excellent, i'm not gonna waste my time listening to it, if there's an average movie on the tv, i'm not gonna watch it as well.

I think that Brutal Death Metal, is in general a genre which lacks of legendary bands, albums etc, excepting just three or four of them.
Slam Death Metal is IN MY OPINION, one of the most crappy genres in music, along with Goregrind, Porngrind, Reggaeton, Hardstyle, Deathcore and all that crap (IN MY OPINION I REPEAT). I consider that Molesting The Decapitated was the FIRST, the BEST and the LAST Slam Death Metal album ever, because all the rest sounds exactly like a shitty copy of this album. Every Slam Death Metal band is a pathetic and mediocre copy of Molesting the Deacapitated. Not even Devourment has reached this level of brutallity with their next albums. The amazingly guttural vocals of Ruben Rosas and that heavy and dense sound of the music has never been matched by any Slam Death Metal band.

And if I had to highlight only one song in the short and sad history of Slam Death Metal, I would choose Postmortal Coprophagia as the Slam Death Metal anthem. So, this is a cult album from my point of view, because it describes perfectly how rage and wickednes sounds. I give it a 7 because it's a very repetitive album, and the lyrics are not the bests, but is still a lengendary album.

Just my shitty opinion.

A Nice Guy
The sound doesn't get much more brutal than this, the guitar tone is crushingly heavy, and the vocals are extremely harsh and vile too, just as brutal death metal should sound. It's just a damn shame that the sound of the snare was a total let down, and the songwriting itself wasn't particularly brilliant, the slamming riffs were beyond repetitive and it lacked in both groove and technicality.

Sure the album sounds good, it's brutal AF, but just as above pointed out this album is very one dimensional.
