If you need to listen to anything off of this album, let it be 'A Place Their Gods Left Behind'. Literally one of the best opening riffs ever conceived, and a constant reminder of why Intestine Baalism was and still is one of the best Japanese death metal bands around. Not their best album, this one (that's a toss up between their latter two albums) but this one is solid in its own right. The production can be a tad too murky (even for death metal standards) and some of the riffs don't quite stack, but this album shows potential. Check it.

Listening to this now for the first time. I was thinking while the first song was running: "Hmmm this sounds quite cool and all, but it's still standard death metal". Then I heard the solo and I was like :O
