Whoa, Bal-Sagoth called, they said they wanted their ultra-long, pompous album title back. I mean Time Is The Sulphur In The Veins Of The Saint: An Excursion On Satan's Fragmenting Principle ? Imagine them playing live with the crowd chanting: "We want something from Time Is The Sulphur In The Veins Of The Saint: An Excursion On Satan's Fragmenting Principle " over and over. Why am I so hung up on something as meaningless as the title? Because the music itself is very much like the title: way too long and just fucked up.

Rating: 6 Weirdo black metal. Works at some points during the songs, but most of it is total weirdness.

Rating: 1 This is just lol

Their psuedo-evilness is laughably bad, as is their music.

I originally rated this 3/10, but after coming back to it (yet again) I found there was more to like. That being said, it has some pretty awful moments...
Got Mayhem? - 08.04.2010 at 04:14
I wanted this album to be great because of the title, which I admired. But I'm listening to it right now and even though it has great, creepy moments it manages to ruin them with some pretty silly stuff. Love-hate relationship going on here for sure...
Lord_Regnier - 08.04.2010 at 04:29
This band started to suck real bad after Silenius left.
Not that it has ever been great but it wasn't so godawful when Silenius was there.

I don't even dare to check this album, considering how horrendous their last ones were.

Rating: 4 Pretty pointless release. They should disband. Their days of greatness are long behind them.
PsychoJuggler - 01.05.2010 at 21:52
Rating: 10 The best ABIGOR album in my opinion....
Introspekrieg - 01.05.2010 at 23:11
Ok... I MUST hear this now. (Because of the intriguing disparity in ratings)
Got Mayhem? - 23.05.2010 at 22:08
Gave it another listen, it sounds like Abigor wanted to be Mayhem's Ordo Ad Chao with a dash of post-Shaxul DSO soooooo badly.
Averus - 26.03.2011 at 19:46
Rating: 3 Ugh. They should have stopped after Nachthymnen. Those were the golden days of Abigor... This is just hot garbage.

Bands like this are a perfect example of terrible aging.

Ordo Ad Chao? I would say more "Grand Declaration Of War".

If we have to compare Abigor with Mayhem ( ) then ya I guess I'd say Grand Declaration fetches a better comparison.

Yeah, I wouldn't compare them either but you get my point.
The album ain't that bad... It's not really good or anything but still... 6-7 material. There are some meh moments but some passages are really good imo. The album lacked focus, that's all.
Troy Killjoy - 18.10.2011 at 22:04
I think it's too... I don't know the word. It just seems dysfunctional, like it has these ideas it wants to execute but none of them work together. I give credit to those who worship this release though. My ears aren't that trained.
Slayer666 - 18.10.2011 at 22:12
Rating: 5 People who worship this release are probably a bit bonkers, just like the album.
