Maybe The first well recognized death metal band from Europe, Vader released in the year 1990 their demo "Morbid Reich" a master piece in this genre and is still considered one of the best demo tapes in death metal history, ten years after that success they released a great album called "Litany" so lets take a closer look at this one.

This is IMO the best Vader album. I love it more than De Profundis. Xeper is an amazing track.

I'm not a fan of Death Metal in general, but I am falling in love with Vader.

Couldn't grasp it at first (vocals were weird as hell to me), but it's really growing on me.

It's an awesome killer album, but definitely too short. That's why I gave it "only" 9.

A completely enjoyable blast of energy the whole way through.

This is not really a big complaint but I think the vocals are a little bit low in the mix and so is the snare drum, the bass drum is slightly too loud, I know this might be intentional but I think Black to the Blind had better production. I can't find any flaws in the music itself however.

They are probably the most accessible band in the sub-genre, along with Morbid Angel. Does not mean they are any worse for it though.

The most important element in Death Metal - The Bass ! is still not versatile enough.

Lol this was my first death metal album, excluding revelations and blood (bought these three on amazon at the same time). I give this a 10, even though I don't listen to it that much anymore. This album is just pure epicness (and better than De Profundis to be honest)

Definitely of the best Vader records as well as my favourite along with The Beast and Impressions In Blood. Great death metal with thrash-y edge.
Favourite tracks: Wings, Xeper, Litany, Cold Demons, North, The World Made Flesh.
