Damn. Very good indeed. I love this kind of feel-good doom. It's epic, powerful and fun without being lightweight or cheesy. Maybe not a milestone of epic doom, but very competent and enjoyable.

Can't stand those fucking vocals. Urgh. I have to disagree about this not being cheesy as well.

Cheesy, but wait, when did Epic Doom was not full of cheese? And this is what this album is all about - epicness and monolithic riffing. Ah, and I forgot to mention one of the best and original vocals I've heard in a while, that remind me of Andrew Eldritch (The Sisters Of Mercy). This album has been on me player for 3 month already, and I even did not for once considered to delete it. 8.8 from me.
Maybe I should write a review...

From what I've heard this has a much more power / viking metal level of cheesiness. Annoyingly uplifting anthemic kind of melodies, as opposed to the more woe-is-me, sorrowful songs you find in Candlemass etc.
Not my cup of tea anyway. It's all right, but the approach is not my thing and the vocals have that whole deliberately out-of-tune sounding thing going on.

Yeah, it turns out it's fairly cheesy. But it's also very good. Uplifting and anthemic for sure, and that's great. Has those heavy metal influences you'll also find in Atlantean Kodex or Argus. The vocals are nice when they're in the lower/mid register, but I really cringe when he tries to hit those higher notes (especially on the first track).
I dislike the first track, the interlude is what it is, and Sentenced In Absentia is fairly mediocre. So that leaves just three tracks, but those three are solid. Good album to wait for better epic doom.

Damn, I'm about to think that NOBODY in this world can make real epic doom except from Leif Edling and guys in Solitude Aeturnus. Maybe also Isole, Forsaken and Passage. Any other band that I've heard claiming to be "epic doom" turns out to be either 100% epic (Doomsword, Solstice) or 100% doom (Warning).

I gave it a try but...somehow, to me, it looked just the same as Warning. Not that I'm complaining, those two bands are awesome, but still, no epic sensations. Just doom.
But okay, right now I'm gonna download them into my player again and give their "Destroyers Of The Faith" another spin or two.

Capilla Ardiente, Oath Of Woe, Sorcerer. Okay, I've never heard of them so I'll try them.
While Heaven Wept is the same as Solstice for me. Maybe it's only because the same vocals but I can feel no doom in them music. Maybe just a bit in The Furthest Shore.

Procession... Warning...
Nope, does not compute to me. Don't see similarities besides the genre. Not the same atmosphere and overall style at all.

for WHW you need to listen to their old stuff, not stuff off their last two studio albums

Well, I didn't know how else I could read "I gave it [Procession] a try but...somehow, to me, it looked just the same as Warning."

Okay, I've just finished to listen to first two songs of Procession and I' m to say that it does not compute to me neither. Though the atmosphere is a bit similar, those two are really different bands. BUT WHY THE FUCK WHEN I LISTEN TO PROCESSION I HAVE A FEELING THAT I'M LISTENING TO WARNING?! DOES. NOT. COMPUTE.

Have you tried Atlantean Kodex?
way too epic and nto enough doom for him I am sure. AK actually operates more in Manowar musical territory than in doom
