Hey! Looking for innovative death metal? Go look elsewhere because Hail Of Bullets play Old School Death Metal, the one played with guts, but in a modern way, with a clean production. And if you asked me if it's good, I'd answer that "it is great!"

Hail Of Bullets is another all-star band. They are numerous, aren't they? At least the Dutchmen are trustworthy because they love what they do and stay loyal to their beliefs. They play their death metal in the traditional way, the way they loved it. Without blast beats and without the "ultra-brutal-gory" or the "shouting" growls. It would be great, nowadays, to see more vocalists, like Martin van Drunen or John Tardy who make growls that (beside the brutality they should have in order to be death metal enough) cause pain in your soul every time you listen to them! That's how amazing van Drunen sounds on this album.

Awesome album, all I can say is that it is simply better than their debut!

I also really enjoyed the album. Some crushing guitar riffs combined with great lyrics and drumming, what could a Death Metal fan want more?

What could a Death Metal fan want more?

Interesting and varied song writing?

Well that point goes to you. But I don't think that this album is boring at all. I don't want to say, that the songs on that album are more varied than on other Death Metal Albums, but personally I think it's ok. Some variety wouldn't have been bad, but I still like it. If you don't that's also ok.

Great album but I preferred the debut still. Definitely a tie between ODW and Rommel Chronicles for second. Especially Berlin as a closer for the debut just takes the cake for me. But then pretty anything van Drunen touches turns to gold for me, so its definitely not an insult to Divine Winds or Rommel Chronicles.
