Pyramids. Wow. Let me start by saying that Pyramids, the debut album of the highly elusive Pyramids, is something spectacular. Wait, err, actually... elusive?... after a quick bit of background research it seems everybody and their mom knew about the band already, except me. Well fuck me sideways, under what rock have I been hiding for god's sake?!

Pyramids' sound cannot be described with mere words, and especially not in this small textbox. Let the music do the talking. If you need an incentive though, let me give you one:

Pyramids is a massive wall of droning texture, mixing Black metal with Noise and Drone with Psychedelics. In one long entrancing stream, the mood switches from soothing to harrowing within moments, leaving you breathless, speechless and thoughtless all at the same time. Must-check.

This is without a doubt the most bizarre album I've ever heard.

Haha, pretty good though innit! I love the Blut aus Nord remix.

The album cover really drew me in, makes about as much sense as the music within
Never heard Blut aus Nord, might have to check them out.

It's an interesting "remix" because it sounds nothing like the original song, it's just BaN completely rewriting it to their own style so if you like that song there's a good chance you'll like them (well their industrial stuff anyway).

This is one of the greatest albums ever
I'm kicking myself on the fact that it took me this long to hear it. The vinyl looks amazing (that is one sexy-ass album cover)

I stand by what I said before, this remains as strange as the first time I listened to it. Haven't heard anything like it since.

Another album that I am supposed to like but I cant. Musically, it is not that bad (although I don't find it extremely interesting either) but damn I hate this type of vocals. The BaN's cover is the only moment of album that I really loved.

This is definitely quite the avantgarde listen, even 16 years later.
