13.08.2010 A fucking explosive beast of an album! It doesn't get more badass than this! If you can listen to "Ulvetid" (featuring Hoest of Taake) without totally flipping out, you must be quite dead already. See that green play button below? Click it NAO!

And their live shows are supposed to be even more insane! Catch 'em on their European tour with Converge and Kylesa or the other one with Coliseum and Bison B.C. if you know what's good for ya! I know I will.

Rating: 8 This cover looks like the art of the Baroness albums.
Promonex - 13.08.2010 at 02:56
Rating: 9 That's because John Baizley of Baroness created it
bard - 13.08.2010 at 03:23
Rating: 8 Hah, it's so similar I knew it had to be the same artist. That guy's really getting his work out on the scene. But hey, it's probably going to get me to check the album out...if albums can be judged by their covers.
Promonex - 13.08.2010 at 03:26
Rating: 9 Just give 'em a listen on Myspace, that should be even more convincing than the album cover
Grimskallen - 13.08.2010 at 06:51
This album turned to my liking, even though I have unreasonably prejudice for anything sounding a tad 'core-like or too punky and my interest in black metal has been real low recently as well. Also digg the crap out of the John Baizley cover, this and baroness' the blue album cover is simply amazing.
BudDa - 14.08.2010 at 14:02
Rating: 9 Hahaha. This album weird, odd and annoooooyyyyingly GOOD!! And to a larger extent catchy too. I love!!!

Mikyz - 15.08.2010 at 19:54
Rating: 9 I listened to this album as soon as it was released mainly because I'm a big fan of Hoest and so I was psyched to check the project he participated in, and this as it turns out is a freaking monster XD
DethDonald - 15.08.2010 at 22:35
Rating: 9 This is great! Thanks Metal Storm for introducing me.
Doc Godin - 16.08.2010 at 09:10
Rating: 10 Punk and black metal? Looks like a very good find, Promonex. Punk & black generally makes a good mix.

Haha, that doesn't mean I don't think Protest the Hero aren't ridiculous either. I find this to be a very unique album as well, a very strange combination of genres, but they work so well together.

Agreed, really an odd mix of styles. But as you said all the pieces fit to make a damn good album IMO.

This is a great album indeed.
I like it from start to end. I didn't know the band before, but this is some nice music.
I'd give it an 8.7. Oh, and I don't like the cover.

Axe Argonian - 15.12.2010 at 01:43
Although I think the music sounds awesome, I would enjoy this to a greater extent if the lyrics were translated to the English language. It's still awesome, nevertheless.
MétalNoir - 05.04.2011 at 04:49
Rating: 8 Darkthrone fans should drop that overrated shit and give Kvelertak a try. THAT's how you mix punk and BM.
Troy Killjoy - 05.04.2011 at 05:11
Because everyone is overrating modern Darkthrone albums...

7.6 - The Cult Is Alive

7.3 - F.O.A.D.
7.3 - Dark Thrones And Black Flags

I know about this band since they released "Blodtorst" music video, but sadly i only gave this album a listen a year after!

Rating: 8 I feel very guilty for forgetting about this. Only three listens in four years. Someone should invent a timer plug-in that reminds you to listen to a list of albums every couple of months.
