What... the... !?

I had heard many complaints about this train wreck of an album, but still I was surprised how terrible it actually is. Where do I even begin with this one? The songwriting here is very, very bad. Many of the songs here rank among the worst ones Timo has ever written. And not just that, but most of them keep repeating themselves endlessly, making them feel even more boring than what they already are. The production isn't just horrifying, but it makes the awful music sound even more cheap and weak.

In case you're wondering about the guitars, since mr. Tolkki is guitarist, then better prepare to be grossly disappointed. my friends. The album is more about ambient-rock opera than anything even remotely related to power metal. But credits where the credits due. The man really stepped outside of his comfort zone and tried something new here, but that's about it.

Saana is one of the most miserable albums I have ever heard in my life, and I doubt they will ever make part 2. I refuse to believe that a man like Timo Tolkki could be crazy enough to embarrass himself even more with musical diarrhea like this.
