... W-what the hell is going on here.
I mean, I know lo-fi is cool and interesting and cvlt and creates atmosphere and blah blah blah, but this is almost unbearable. I can hear some great ideas behind this wall of noise, though; especially in "Schritte".

It's probably have to be a kvlt klvb member to fully appreciate this. I for one considered myself a VIP after listening to this. The entire d'Hiver catalog is excellent raw/atmospheric (ya that's possible) black metal.
Prettier than BloodTears.

Even by the production standards set by the average Paysage d'Hiver demo, this one is still more rough and quiet than most. I had to turn the volume up an extra notch but it's still very nice material. It certainly does sound like a dungeon as implied by the album title. It almost touches industrial territory since the guitars are barely there at times and the synths are very prominent and mechanic with their pounding sound specially in the third track. Man, I'm really turning into a fanboy of this project.
