Awesome album ! Just like the EP, it's jut really really good. My only complaint would be the repetitiveness in some songs, especially at the end of the album.
This is one of the best atmospheric black metal ever. It's sad not many know about it.

Commenting for exposure. If you like music of the black and classical blend you might wanna check this out. It's much more focused and direct than the likes of Griseus in the way that it overlaps the black and classical themes rather than gluing them together in a meander-esque fashion if that makes sense. As said above, its lack of variety is its Achilles heel.

Que?

When I see "Ban" anywhere I think of Blut aus Nord, so I just added on an extra "Nord" to this. Nevermind, go on about your business. Nothing to see here.

Yep after I posted the comment I took a sip of my water and had a moment of clarity. It seems I edited it while your reply window was opened :3

Blut aus Nord Nord.

Well, is it worth this great comparison?

The genre tags color me interested...

Haven't heard it yet Dima definitely paints a tempting picture though.

It's more conservative overall. If you're expecting the diversity and fieriness of Elend for example you might be left disappointed.

I think the songwriting is great, every song has its own charm and there is no filler here. Overall it's one of my favourite atmospheric black metal albums.

It's an interesting album, some cool moments here and there but IMO songs are going nowhere.

Well, each to their own. For me it's very relaxing and easy flowing album. Regarding this neoclassical black metal 'genre' it does not get any better for me.

Another great one is Profanum's Profanum Aeternum - Eminence Of Satanic Imperial Art which is also the best 'guitarless' black metal album I know. They're from Poland so you might know them but if not make sure to check them out .

I agree. It is an 'ears friendly' album. Soft guitars, clean production.
Oh well ok, lets say it deserves an 8.
