I'm really curious about this new EP. I'm always eager to listen to new stuff from Riverside.
I just wished they would play a show in Portugal on this anniversary tour. That seems unlikely at this point.

Pretty old news now to be posted on the front page, so I put the info here. You can listen to one new song, entitled "Forgotten Land", from this EP at this location. Enjoy!

Ugh, just an EP? I know new music is better than no music at all but when are we gonna get a full LP?

Not really impressed with that song... hopefully the other two tracks are more interesting.

I perceive Forgotten Land like an intro to a long epic album, but on this EP, it is - probably fittingly - placed last to conclude (hopefully) two grand songs preceding it. The song is very Riversidey: complex drumming and bass, subtle guitars, and enveloping synths.

I kinda like "Forgotten Land", but then again, that happens with everything Riverside releases. I don't think I ever disliked a song from them. Maybe I'm obsessed.

This EP is already sold on their live shows, leaked online as well.
My first impression is pretty positive - much more rock oriented rather than metal (which is not a bad thing at all), reminded me of their approach on Out of Myself (which is my favorite Riverside release).

Well, they did say it was a homage to what they did earlier in their career.

Well, where to start? Riverside play three pretty standard hard/alternative rock songs that don't nearly cover the distance that their other albums cover. The songs are consistently good, but are not excellent or even very good. The EP lacks experimentation; the interesting points that Riverside are really good at just lead nowhere fascinating. I love these guys and their songwriting is brilliant (demonstrated by the EP)...but this is really only for the die-hards.

This sounded a little boring at first listen. But it really grew on me. Amazing little album.

I am really digging this right now. But being a Riverside apologist maybe it's because I WANTED to like it...

How I love this band! Even though it sounded boring, indeed, the first time I listen to it, as already Moose mentioned, but after the second time I could appreciate the efforts of musicians. Stylistically, it's the same good old Riverside, which is already good. And I really liked how all the three songs are flowing in the same stream, if you understand what I mean.
