04:57 - Diverge Okay I finally found it. Mastery is the name of the band :P
04:49 - Diverge mz your comment captured my attention. Where is this Masterity album?
01:45 - mz yeah that Masterity album is truly the most chaotic album I\ve ever heard
01:44 - Apothecary 3rd, you have just been sharing a ton of great albums today
01:41 - !J.O.O.E.! I've been meaning to show my housemate Inland Empire for quite a few months now. Should probably get around to that sometime.
01:28 - saveusrandy Talking about Twin Peaks & Opeth, imagine a cover album of Julee Cruise songs by them.
01:27 - Netzach Indeed. Sadly a couple actors passed away (BOB, Log Lady and Pete afaik). Also, Lynch's style has changed quite a bit since the early 90's so anything is possible. Good to see a couple other Lynch fans around here anyway.
This is exactly how I like GTT. Some of the his slowest and more ritualistic compositions with rare use of drum work create what that is probably his best effort in my opinion. The only elements of GTT which I miss on this EP are those weird spoken words and samples but these are minor problems, considering that this EP is mostly instrumental. I must listen to the rest of his EPs which I have not checked yet but this EP is better than all of his (great) full length albums.
Perhaps his most "focussed" affair yet. Seems to follow a very common theme with regards to the style which seems to revolve around a more simple structure of lengthy, elongated drones and ambience. Certainly not a bad thing but I don't think it's as good as 'Preferring Human Skin...' which I feel delves much deeper into the sound whilst being generally more interesting and effective a record.
