Kolony ran out of stock which caused the Finnish street date to push back to June 20th (was originally 15th). 70% of it went to Germany - expecting a few more dates to be announced around there!

I don't know if it was because I was expecting a second Stone's Reach, but I didn't quite liked it at first. Eventually it grew on me, but it took a while. The first few spins left me with a "meh, this isn't gonna work" impression and that it wasn't as remarkable as their 2nd, but a few days later I could hear the melodies in my subconscious as if it was calling me. It started to grow, and I'm starting to like it almost as much as Stone's Reach. I gave it a 9 for now, but it's a very fragile 9. I feel it lacks memorable moments and can go down a point if I'm in a more demanding mood.

I have increased my rating of this album to 8. It improves with each listen. And I had the great fortune to see them play live in Canberra last night and they were incredible. They opened with "Absit Omen" and the other tracks they played from Of Breath and Bone were "Remnants", "Fraught" and "By Moon and Star". Great to see these songs played live and they were flawless.

Well, being part of this minority, I consider Melodeath the most overrated subgenre by the users of this site. It's a good album though; an 8.0 - 8.2 for me, but far from being a masterpiece yet.
if you rate it 8 / 8.2 you're not a minority....we were talking about those who rated it 5 , didn''t we ? :-)

Ranked number 26 in the overall greatest death metal albums chart...seriously guys? Yea, I admit that I'm not really into Melo Death, maybe that's why I can't see the "awesomeness" everyone is claiming in this. Gonna listen to Towards the Megalith by DIsma now to "wash" my ears with some real morbid death metal.

You know what would make Be'lakor as legendary as Death was? If the next record can overshine Stone's Reach. I agree that Of Breath And Bone is a bit of step back, but it's still a very good record to listen to, and there are some real highlights and overall consistency on the album. As a judgement for the future, they haven't crossed the borders of melodic death metal... I'd say they could win the metal world if they try to be a little bit progressive. Just an opinion...

I hate melodeath, and i think Be'Lakor is probably the first band in the genre i like. I much prefer death metal vocals than melodeath, but the vocals still work here because the music is so damn good.
Remnants and In Parting are my favourites.

I tried once to get into dream theater... Same thing, too... progressive. I only listened two or three Opeth songs, because one of my friends is a big fan. I remember that "blackwater park" sounded good, but I haven't listened the whole album.

The patch 1.04 is about to come in the following days, it is said that there will be many changes about the legendary items. Good news for the Barbarian that his skills will be strengthened. While so many ranged profession has bursted and formed their fixed strategies to take down their enemies, the Barbarian is always disappointing their players. To fix this issue and bring the balance of these professions back, changes will be made to the Barbarians. Why not get some diablo 3 items to be the most awesome Barbarian?

I really found Insomnium last outing boring as fuck. But gonna give this a try anyway.
"We have certainly heard of them [Insomnium] now, because as you said, there have been many comparisons drawn. We can see that there are a few things that the two bands have in common — both play melodic death metal, and both have an interest in writing sad or more mournful riffs. Beyond that, however, we believe that each band clearly has their own things to offer, and many fairly substantial differences. There are riffs in each band's music that simply would not appear [stylistically] in the other band's songs. From what we can gather, fans of the two bands can see these differences quite clearly. Our take is that many of the comparisons are being drawn by people who have only given each band a cursory listen, or by people for whom 'melodic death metal' is all lumped into one big category." -Steven Merry (9/2012)

Well, it would take an idiot of a metal fan to say they dont sound the same....but then again Insomnium sounds similar to In Flames as well...which of course isnt all that far off from Children of Bodom and being power metal isnt that far off from sounding like Helloween which was, in some people's opinion, just a sped-up version of iron maiden. We all know maiden was origianally (whether they like to admit it or not) very inspired by the punk sound of the 70's.
So Be'lakor is punk

Still dont understand all the rage over this album. Its immensely boring and unoriginal. Listened to it again today to see if it clicks with me better after I took a break from it - within about 25 minutes I realised I havent listened for the last 20 minutes and I stopped it. It just doesnt capture my attention at ALL - really mindboggling how this is the top album of the year.
I guess its just something I wont ever understand, its like it used to be with Eluveitie. Zero interesting yet people throw their panties at it. 6/10 now.
