In what can only be described as a natural progression of one of the most highly regarded melodic death metal albums of the decade in Stone's Reach, Be'lakor have taken to the studio once more with the hopes of building on their already unrelenting momentum.

I used to be able to enjoy this kind of deep, complex music before I had kids, but now I find find myself wishing it was more straight forward and to the point. Maybe some of you with 1 hour of music listening time per day and agree.

Sounds like you need to get an hour to yourself. All I'm reading is "I havent given this album a chance yet"

The only reason I said that is because what was written is stupid and doesnt show anything. What's the point to saying "Havent listened yet, meh." ?

I don't really see anything complex in this album; in fact, some sort of complexity and innovation is something that I am really missing here...

If you are very concentrate in the album for sure you never be bored, very rich in melodies, with riffs almost perfect ... but It don't impressed me so much .. I really prefer Stone's Reach for it pleasant innovative sound

I haven't really ventured that much into thrash, so we'll have to wait and see if you're indeed a dick

If you're going to venture into thrash don't start with that watered down revivalist crap. (Havok, Evile, Warbringer, etc.)

Mikyz made a kick ass thrash list, will probably start from there.

Its so weird for me that I actually like this band, because they remind me of a refined version of Amon Amarth (a band i freekin despise). Sort of Amon Amarth minus the predictable riffs and vikingness and a bit of Insomnium in there somewhere as well.

I can definitely see why everyone rates it so highly, even though Im not sure why I do.

Pretty much like selling 100 copies with just the one album. Good for them.

Are you even surprised? It's a melodeath album.

Apparently it's the 39th greatest album of all time too...

Not really surprised no since somehow this band has been overrated like hell here on MS also for their first couple of albums.
And of course it's generic melodeath as well which the punters lap up like mad dogs.
