I have always considered the experience of listening to a Dolorian album a journey through the subconscious corridors of the mind, a place where our most hidden desires, fears and nightmares turn to life and there's nothing you can do to face them, you remain paralyzed by the hypnotizing atmosphere and you watch your most esoteric thoughts in the shape of dreaful figures parade in front of your very eyes.

How could you not have before? I love this band. Check out their debut. It's their best if you ask me.

Can't get enough of this, one of those albums I know I'll never get bored of. Stands out so clearly from any other doom album I've heard.

I find it a little meandering at times, as though I'm waiting for something to happen throughout a lot of their songs but often it never does. I like it for what it is though. I'll check out the debut then.

[EDIT] 3 tracks in and I'm liking the debut much more. The more overt black metal elements work much better for me than this one.

Well no wonder I like this so much, I'd never drawn that comparison.

I find this album to be the tits... Some pretty hypnotic shit right here. Quite dreamy. All their albums own tbh. Give them all a re-check.

Now I finally get it. After Atra Mors' hypnotic use of reverberating cleans, it only took me one nude, hypnagogic night being tripped by the heat post-work to get it knowing there was no return and prevention from being consumed.

The art is one of the best I've seen in music. In its Silent Hill to October Rust (inlay images) nature it never prevents tripping me out but this is a characteristic feature Dolorian excels at consistently, with Voidwards being one of few arts to feel creeping me out, finally dropping all subtleties from before or this. Needs to be (re)pressed and onto vinyl, absolut.

This is how you doom, balls tripping, senses opening, lying down, and loving it to death.

I may not have the largest collection but I certainly have the absolute best

Not sure whether I like this or the debut better. Either way, doom metal doesn't get better than this, and the self titled isn't too far behind. What a band.
