Not a bad album by any means but it would sure be nice if they would stop trying so hard to be Kylesa.

I don't think so...they kind of have a punk vocal thing going on... The music is almost exactly the same as Kylesa though, like the same brand of stoner/sludge. I know they come from the same city and tour together and share the same artist for their covers but still. Some originality would be nice, especially since Kylesa do everything better.

Hopefully the album is still good enough. I want to buy the Set The Dial T-shirt because of the artwork lol

I honestly don't think they are that much alike considering the latest Kylesa album being very mellow and "nice" listening. This guys being more "in your face" about it. I'm not saying theya re original by any means though, far from it.... It's still some well done sludge/stoner and I'm going to enjoy it as such without thinking too much about the originality part.

That's just it, it took Kylesa to change, not Black Tusk.
Anyway, the album's not bad. All comparisons aside it's still a decent mix of sludge and stoner.

Yeah, I actually really liked this one, would probably get a low 8 or high 7. Nice guitar work, even if it isn't the most original.

Nice album. The riffs are not very original but sound really good. If only it weren't for those high-pitched vocals that annoyed me to some degree.
