Those tracks haven't experienced the process of being compiled or gathered from some existing source(s).
Those tracks are new.

But not all of them, most songs are reworkings of old songs. I wouldn't call it a compilation but it's definitely not a proper full length album.

Every track is never-released-before and new. Say it reworked, redesigned release - what ever comes to your mind. Tracks having a history in a form of older songs, or with human terms; consisting of familiar 'genes', doesn't wash away the own identity of these kind of releases. Are we all just compilations of our parents, just because we share a lot of the same genes? It's just that MS doesn't have a fitting release type for these sort of releases.
Yea it's not a regular album/opus either.

Mmmh... The first tracks were amazing, but it loses points towards the end, especially in "The Lost Child", maybe one of their weakest songs. It's good, excellent at times, but no masterpiece like WHBWH and... Well, half of Anathema's discography. At the moment something like a 7.5 or 8, more or less. Best tracks: "Untouchable Part 1-2" and "The Beginning And The End".

Kenos, you're so very wrong! Let it sink man. It's a grower. The only critique i have is that sometimes if feels to pop.
I can't sleep today, been listening to it non stop since it leaked. This album is life resumed in a few songs. It's so emotional, so beautiful.
The world is such a fuckep up place, but listening to this i kinda let go of all the shit and just be at peace for a few hours.
Anyway, time to go listen to some evil black metal cause i'm getting corny as fuck.

I don't mind pop, but redundancy... And at times I find this album redundant. Even more than its predecessor - which I adore.

I sort of agree with this. The first few tracks were enjoyable but after that I kind of lose interest. Maybe it's the female vocals but this album is just not my cuppa tea.

Lightning Song has to be one of the most emotional songs ever composed. This is a whole new Anathema...like despair, they have managed to rope in a new emption this time Hope and Quiet Joy.

Untouchable, Part 2 is endlessly emotional.. and best vocal arrangements can be found on The Gathering Of The Clouds.. over all i give 9 out of 10 to this beautiful thing they made. this is music.

I can't say how much I loved this album.
Untouchables are both great, so is Lightning Song (which I'm listening to right now).
Thank you so much Anathema for delivering me this can't-express-with-words feeling...

Weather Systems is absolutely better than the WHBWH for me. Now, they've really changed their style and had some post rock sound but they still make us feel the same way : ) May be there is no certain masterpiece in the album because the album is a masterpice itself as a total work. My favourite ones are Untouchable Part 1, Lightning Song, The beginnig and the end, and of course The Lost Child that reminds me Judgement days especially when Vincent begging ''save me''. I've found a new Anathema again but it's still Anathema and thanks for this awesome album.
