08:09 - BlueMobius Just got my tickets for the Decibel Magazine tour! :D
07:14 - ScreamingSteelUS My top choice was Persefone's "Spiritual Migration." Next was In Vain's new album, and after that I couldn't decide between Amon Amarth and Children of Bodom. Omnium Gatherum's I liked.
06:31 - AngelofDeth also think it was the fact that not much else came out that was good. Beyond is Omnium's best yet so I gave my vote to them but damn it still not that great an album
05:52 - deadone My problem goes down to individual albums where songs blur into one tedious dirge
05:51 - Unhealer Wonder what would have happened if the staff hadn't nominated them. Would they still win as write-ins?
05:38 - ScreamingSteelUS I wouldn't go that far, but I agree they can be repetitive. For me, it's one of those cases of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." "Twilight of the Thunder God" may be my favorite, though.

HIM is lucky to have such a dedicated fan base that is hard to disappoint if you manage to create a few catchy choruses. I consider myself a serious fan of them, trying to value their music by quality instead by mass market appeal. The reason this album is different from their last one is because it succeeds in both ways, although having considerable flaws.
Well, must say I am deeply intrigued what will come of this. With HIM I'm never sure what's gonna come out, untill I hear it, as Ville likes to lie about the upcoming albums. As waiting for Greatest Lovesongs or RR#2 is an utopic wish, I just wish it would be something more like Venus Doom and less like Screamworks.
It is hard to know what is coming. Valo, at some point, wanted Rise Above Records to make love with HIM, but apparently that did not work out. And then during the return Ville's performances were.. not that promising. And what comes to the new (tubed) track it was not as metal, or dark, or deep, or something I already was sort of waiting for. SO. No idea.
Probably one of those 13-year-old kids that think that anything that isn't thrash or black is gay. Poor SOB.
my darling dear...check sentenced and make the difference between HIM and them. Tis band - HIM releases just the same thing - cheap music. It is nothing interesting here. they died starting with that album after and love said no
I guess it is necessary needed to be a fan of this style to comment something... Having listened to this album for three times, I don't even know what to say.. No emotions, no feelings, no satisfaction.. Finally, no note...)
