16:27 - !J.O.O.E.! I recall that Bismuth now, mostly due to the nice artwork. Would be so much better with some proper guitars or additional effects to give it some depth. I think bass-only bands will only ever be a novelty, bar the odd exception.
16:23 - LuciferOfGayness Yeah its underwhelming that most of the new music isnt added. Bismuth was probably on of the best doom releases last year and still isnt here [link]

You know what's great? Melodic death metal that still happens to be death metal...Rather than some ambiguous melodic riffing put through thickened production with death growls laid over top. None of that crap here, Formshifter is what you could call a quintessential melodic death metal album in the truest sense of the term.
Rating reflects poorly, considering this is a nice step up from their previous release. Their songwriting has become quite a bit more memorable, and in general everything feels more cohesive here. A solid album, for sure.
Very good album... Great riffs, melodies and solos. Twelve-Vals For The Legions is the first track, that I heard from this record and I was completely impressed what I was listening. The end of this song is brilliant. After many weeks, that I heard whole album, this is another great band, that I want to see alive.
