I have been listening to this alot lately, blends post-metal, sludge, atmosphere into a fresh sound...post-hardcore!

I don't know why I haven't listened to this before.

This is one of the most devastatingly destructive albums I have ever heard and it manages to be damn stunningly beautiful at the same time.

I am amazed how many people haven't heard this record. The words "post hardcore" must scare people off. This is a tremendous effort and one of my favorite albums ever. Metal fans are missing out...

Great album, although I'm not a big fan of clean vocals.

Hmmm, I am starting to dig post-hardcore clean vox more and more. When done right, like on this monster of an album, it swings the mood!

Yeah it reminds me of a rural version of Animals.

Jay, I listened to it. I would say there's actually more post-metal than post-hardcore in this. I love how it flows between those two genres, ambient interludes, heavy sludge and almost math-y moments. I don't mind the emo cleans, they're not badly done and those powerful "harshs" are really predominant anyway. This is just great, a little long, but it's really worth staying put during 66 minutes. The apparent brutality of it is actually the best conductor for that emotion that lies underneath. Impressive début, I am looking forward hearing their second so much. It's really one of the best albums I've heard in a little while.
