Why the negativity? I'm not really a fan of Pantera, but am still curious to hear this...

What's the story here? Is it an old unreleased track?

Yeah. A track that didn't make it to Vulgar Display Of Power. It seems after all these years they checked out the song again and thought "Wow, why didn't we include this one on the record?! It's great". At least that is what I remember Vinnie said.
In short, marketing.

You can hear 30 seconds of the track here

Aside from the fact part of the song is derived from 'Use My Third Arm' I thought it was ok. Probably not the first song you'd choose to feature on an album but I've heard a lot worse and it does remind me of a time when Pantera existed. They have worse songs at any rate but this is clearly a cash grab but one that'll suit most fans.

Decent enough, nice main riff and one of their better choruses. Should have replaced Live In A Hole on VDOP. Never thought that I'd actually witness a newish Pantera song being released.

Dimebag spins in his grave...

What? Why would this cause him to roll in his grave?

Perhaps you are unfamiliar with the phrase "spins in his grave."

It implies that the deceased individual is roused from death, so to speak, by an unfortunate occurrence that would have bothered them should they still be alive - in this instance, the blatant marketing ploy that is releasing a recording he featured on, that during his life he himself (as part of a collective, i.e. Pantera) did not see fit to release.

What's with everyone speaking on behalf of dead musicians as if they know what they had in mind?

PS I was well aware of the phrase, although I'm more familiar with "rolling in his grave" as opposed to "spinning".

I'm not so much speaking on behalf of a dead musician as I am pointing out the obvious fact that he in his lifetime nor the band in their lifetime as a band chose to release the track in any shape or form - - that the move to do so now is clearly a financial one.

"Spins in his grave". Why the fuck do I imagine everything that I read?

On topic, the song has some cool grooves but it's too damn lengthy. The tattooed girl on the video is damn hot by the way.
