I won't hesitate to say this could be one of the greatest Death Metal Acts from Mexico, Roots Of Rot is one of those bands with a lot of inconceivable talent and technicality, both things mixed with brutality and aggression, this album is by far one of the best releases in Mexican Death Metal for sure. The "unpredictable" factor in "Hated Flesh" is what gives incredible surroundings to the album, I mean, let's take the first track for example "Hellcity Fall", here we have a nice Technical Death metal tune, the aggressiveness is all over the track but we can also hear crazy ascending guitar solos and some awesome bass-lines in the end; then we have tracks like "Morbid Kind Of Flesh" (The best track in this album for sure) with different tempo and different structures(the closure for this track is shivering believe me), the guitarist adds some awesome scales to the tune and of course amazing leads, the vocalist work is just unbelievable(not only in this track but in the whole album), José Rot sounds really deep in his vocal work, much like Frank Mullen(Suffocation) or David Vincent (Morbid Angel).
