Whether you're an elitist, an American scene kid, a metalhead, a hardcore punk aficionado, or one of those old jaded folks at the back still clasping that Victory Records mail order from the 90s to your chest, you tend to get have certain amount of expectation of what Hatebreed's albums sound like. The Connecticut stompers signed up a new deal with Razor & Tie and you know what beauty comes with it: another mosh-inducing, pits-erupting brand new disc - namely The Divinity Of Purpose.

Rating: 9 If they outdo their self titled album completely, i'll be love with this band again.

Rating: 7 I liked the self-titled. The title track and everyone bleeds now are particularly good. The new stuff sounds a bit less heavy thus far which I hope is not true w/ all the songs on the album. Here is the teaser:

Even though I'm not into this style, I expected to like it better, but well, it was some fun listen.

Rating: 7 If you like Hatebreed you should like this well enough. However, it does branch out a tiny bit with more backing vocal parts and metal melodic hooks in a few parts. Overall, it's Hatebreed doing their thing. Not as heavy in many ways like their earlier albums but the guitars, aggression on vocals, etc. is all there. Good, not great.

Rating: 10 Still a hardcore album with a little bit of metal core. One of Hatebreed's best, in my opinion..
