21:19 - Erik M. Che, TWWTG is awesome indeed. It's BAN's best album, just beating MVI, for me. Btw, what does the "v" mean? Funeral doom > death doom? Nope, I totally disagree (even though I like funeral doom too).
21:17 - Apothecary Funeral doom > death doom anyway
21:16 - Erik M. ...effectively plays a great blend of death and doom metal, but I do suspect Joe can't come up with a good example since he's not that fond of the genre. Hence why I take his opinion on death doom with a huge grain of salt. :P
21:12 - Erik M. Meh, just admit that death doom isn't your cup of tea, which is why you call it generic and dislike it. I flat-out admit that MoRT isn't my kind of music, hence why I dislike it. No, I'm not convinced Ophis is the only band that..
21:12 - !J.O.O.E.! Feed your head whilst I'm gone ;)
21:10 - Apothecary Tell the Dormouse I said hi plz
I have to ask, because well, they both are female doom duo's.
Not in the slightest. MoT are uptempo and caustic, Undersmile are slower and heavier (the guitar tone itself must weigh as much as the moon). Vocally it's primarily overlapping twin-female cleans, but of the very weird, off-kilter, psychedelic chanting type, much like Bloody Panda.
Argh, still can't get over how much I should love this, how much I want to love this, how much I actually love this when I put it on, and how I'm pummeled to the ground exhausted by the time I'm at track 4. Way too long for its own good, which is a pity. I love it but I find myself spontaneously listening to it very rarely since it's such an investment, both of my time and my energy.
