This will have been the most beautiful prog album you have heard so far this year. Outstanding and beautiful female vocals, haunting melodies, harps, violins, flutes, and theatrical - nay, cinematic - delivery. Frequency Drift have some stunning song writing and arrangement skills. Now, excuse me, I have to go see them live. Adieu!

Rich, complex and has multiple layers, one of the best albums I've listened to so far this year.

Nicole's voice is so hypnotizing. I got chills listening to the second half of Copper. Beautiful, beautiful stuff all over again.

I would not classify this album as metal in any sense of the word. It is prog rock, soft prog rock at that. That being said, WOW: This knocked my socks off. It is absolutely wonderful!

Indeed. I listened to one song so far and I enjoyed it. Will listen to whole thing soon. Obviously similar stuff are Spock's Beard, Satellite, and IQ.

What an improvement!
In just one year Frequency Drift has gone from being a mediocre band to an excellent one in my eyes. While 2011's Ghosts surely had its moments it was still plagued by a lot of annoyances. This years offering on the other hand is a better album in every respect and simply feels so much more polished and mature.
...Laid to Rest contains a lot of variety both vocally and musically. It is very relaxing but never gets boring much thanks to the bombastic symphonic sections as well as the oriental touches. This album is deep and multidimensional and took me on a pleasant journey from beginning to end. Highly recommended!

The Egyptian backing vocals on the first track were a very pleasant surprise for me. And the rest of the album is awesome as well.
