Can you say "late to the party" even if there never actually was one?

Stumbled across this a couple of days ago by pure accident and I just can't believe that this thread has been occupied by nothing but a yawning void for so many years.
Am I really the only one who believes that the tracks Doodsknoop, Heimat and Transition rank among the best of black metal 2012 had to offer?

Anyhow, I just can't get enough of it. Arne Vandenhoeck's (Marche Funèbre) versatile vocals are simply amazing and the drummer is not only bursting with fresh ideas but has that rare talent of being able to enrich his band's sound with a widely neglected facet of black metal: groove.
